Network Lunch with Pilkington

Approximately 30 delegates attended this event at the Park Hall Hotel to receive the presentation given by Jurek Piatkiewicz, Head of Global Technology Purchasing at Pilkington.

Opening the presentation, Jurek provided the background of the Pilkington Group, highlighting its current position and interests.  He explained that it is split into two main business lines being Automotive and Building Products.  Jurek then went on to speak in detail about all of the products and services Pilkington are involved in from construction to process equipment, valves, steelwork and logistics to mention a few.  Jurek also spoke of their new venture in Kazakhstan and also pointed out some of the disciplines required by the company.

Throughout the presentation Jurek touched upon the many opportunities there are available within Pilkington and also new developments which are still in the planning stages.  Indeed he encouraged those in attendance to approach him or his colleagues if they would like to discuss things further.

Pilkington also sent two other personnel to the lunch, ensuring there were plenty of people on hand which enhanced the networking opportunities, allowing those in attendance to gain from such a successful.
