Over 100 places were booked for this commercial presentation given by Maersk Oil North Sea UK Ltd making an excellent start to the year with best attendance so far for the Scottish Team.

The presentation took place at Aberdeen Football Club with Sean Hopkins, from Roxar Ltd starting things off with a 15 minute member presentation. After Sean’s presentation, John Fowler of Maersk Oil North Sea UK Ltd presented company information; the countries they are active in, an overview of the company’s structure, growth strategy execution and their current asset position. John then talked about the current projects that Maersk Oil and Gas UK Ltd are working on and gave information on contracting and procurement for 2007. He finished his presentation explaining how potential suppliers can do business with the organisation and giving out key contact information within the company. His presentation was very well received with many interesting questions asked.

After lunch Gordon Hart, from Maersk Contractors Norge AS gave a presentation on “The Changing Face of Subsea”. The presentation included information on traditional subsea drilling and new technologies. Gordon’s presentation was followed by a subsea forum involving an informal discussion of subsea projects.
