 The Energy Industries Council was proud to manage a UK Group consisting of 13 companies at the 12th Iran Oil show, 18-22 April 2007.
The following companies exhibited in the group: Ashcom Systems Ltd, CMP Products, Emerson Process Management Systems Ltd, Hamworthy Combustion Engineering, Hughes Pumps Ltd, John Crane UK Ltd, Multivalve Technology Ltd, Parker Hannifen Ltd, PRD Holdings Ltd, R Stahl Ltd, Severn Glocon Ltd, Spirax Sarco Ltd, Tracerco.
There were 1,250 Iranian and International companies present at the exhibition this year covering about 75000 m2.
Iran, with its reserves of more than 130 billion barrels of oil and condensates (13% of the world's) and in excess of 26 trillion cubic meters of natural gas (18% of the world's), ranks second among the oil and gas producing nations.
There was an in-country briefing held at the Ambassador’s Residence which the group found extremely beneficial.
Three of the companies in the Group, CMP Products, Hamworthy Combustion and Tracerco were interviewed for National television, CMP more than once.
Although the political situation was uneasy in the lead up to the show, the show was a full-house and an extremely successful event for all participants.
