The UK Group at the Iran Oil Show, Tehran, 20-23 April 2006
Bigger and Better than ever before, and looking forward to 2007!
(Iran Oil Show 26-29 April, 2007)
 The
Energy Industries Council (EIC) in April of this year organised
a UK Group to the largest edition of the Iran OiI Show yet - a record
level of exhibitors totalling 497 foreign and 750 local companies
attended, a 15% increase from last year's show. 64,000 square metres
of floor space was dedicated to the exhibition, making the show
the biggest of its kind in the Middle East.
During perhaps one of Iran's more difficult political climates
the EIC together with the British Embassy in Tehran assisted companies
furthering their business interests in the country. Advice and support
was offered months before the show and in-country during the show.
UK Group exhibitors benefited onsite from a fantastic location within
Hall 44, publicity via the published "Guide to the UK Group"
(kindly sponsored by UK Trade & Investment), market intelligence
and contacts, and an official UK Group reception held at the Ambassador's
residence. The EIC had a stand within the Group and was on hand
throughout.
The result was a very positive response from the UK Group exhibitors
on the worth of both the show and the UK Group concept.

The EIC will build on this success again next year. The dates
