EICUK Houston Golf Day
Monday 21st May 2007
The first EICUK Houston golf day was held at the Willow Fork Country club in Katy, Texas.
The event was organized in conjunction with Westhaven Golf & Sailing Club in support of the “Driving 4 Life” charity benefiting Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) research.
The golf course, which is set up to challenge the seasoned golfer, features a narrow layout with Bermuda grass putting greens plus several holes that wind through the wetlands in West Houston. Members and their clients negotiated the course (alligators included) from a shotgun start, and apart from a brief shower early in the afternoon, the day was perfect.
An evening dinner in the Colonial-style clubhouse followed the tournament, and emcee Frank Henshall awarded various prizes to participants. The winning team received individual trophies courtesy of the EIC and will become the first names on the EIC golf tournament’s “Hall of Fame” plaque, which will be displayed in our Westheimer office reception for all to see.
We look forward to our next Golf Day!
