How to do business with the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA)

Great Barr Hotel, Birmingham

Thursday 27th March 2008

On the calendar as the replacement for the March Decommissioning Forum, this event attracted an audience of around 55 delegates.  There were representatives from a wide variety of companies in attendance who gathered to hear the presentation delivered by Ron Gorham, Head of Supply Chain and Commercial Relationships at the NDA.

Ron began by providing an overview of the NDA, which included the supply chain profile, roles and responsibilities and the levels of spend over the year.  He also went into detail about how to do business with the NDA and what is expected of companies if they wish to work with them.  There was also a description of the current projects in operation and those proposed for the future.

The presentation was concluded with the provision of the key contact points and details about how to do business with the NDA.  Ron brought along some of his colleagues from the NDA and also a representative from the UKAEA which meant there were plenty of people on hand to network with and all queries from delegates were answered efficiently.  This event was extremely successful with a great deal of positive feedback being given at the close.
