The EIC Flagship Annual Dinner 2007 at the InterContinental London Park Lane
Last month over 460 Member Companies, their guests, Ambassadors, guests of the EIC and EIC staff, gathered at the InterContinental London Park Lane for a hugely enjoyable evening of hearty conversation, delicious cuisine and entertainment, provided by the ever popular ‘Strolling Magicians’ performing their magical tricks and astonishing illusions, along with the Entrade Jazz Duo who welcomed guests with some ever popular classics.
Chairman Steve Lee delivered a speech that reflected on the past year - and what a year for EIC highs - the largest exhibitor at Offshore Europe, a membership now in excess of 500 leading companies and a world class project information database that is currently tracking circa 7,500 projects globally. He also looked to the year ahead that will see the international supply chain event of the year, EIConnect, take place in February of 2008 and an events programme that will deliver even more events covering all aspects of energy industries. Following Steve, was Gyles Brandreth our guest speaker for the evening who had the room in fits of laughter with his tales from his life as an MP. He also did a great job in assisting with the charity raffle.
The charity raffle was a tremendous success with the following companies kindly donating donating prizes
The appointed Charity was the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) and we raised £3,839 which will help JDRF diabetes research worldwide for type 1 (or juvenile) diabetes and its complications.
