The “Bio Boom” Explained
Belasis Business Centre,
Billingham

A sizeable audience of 70 delegates attended this event at the Belasis Business Centre to hear presentations from a wide selection of speakers covering all aspects of “Bio”.  The scene was set with an explanation of the importance of the subject and each presenter spoke about their involvement in Bio projects.  It was then concluded by looking at emerging technologies in bio diesel.

The speakers were as follows:
Dr Adrian Higson – Bioscience for Business KTN
Mark Lewis – NEPIC
Richard Nickels – Biofuels Corporation Ltd
Bill Bates – D1 Oils PLC
Tony Lewis – SembCorp Utilities
Peter Sopp – Ensus
Dr Geraint Evans – National Non Food Crop Centre
Dr Phil Goddard from the EIC Business Information Department also provided an overview of the significant number of bio projects already being tracked on the database.

This event was deemed a success by both speakers and delegates in attendance.  As well as the delegates gaining information from professionals, there were countless opportunities for networking for all.
