Northern Region Annual Dinner

The Royal Armouries in the centre of Leeds provided the backdrop for the Northern Region Annual Dinner this year. This successful dinner had over 80 attendees from our member companies and their guests, and was indeed the highlight of the Northern calendar.
 The evening began with a Drinks Reception in the Tournament Gallery, which was very kindly sponsored by EC Harris LLP. We were then entertained by the Armouries staff who re enacted a battle scene as 2 duelling knights dressed in Armour and Chain mail. This was followed by an update from our CEO, Mike Major, on the EIC plans for the future. Then the delicious four course dinner was served.
Dinner was concluded by Mark Howard, Chairman of the Northern Committee who thanked everyone for attending, then introduced our after dinner speaker, Patrick Tansey. Patrick entertained us with some very funny stories and jokes and was indeed very well received by all.
This event was definitely a success, with a great deal of positive feedback, particularly surrounding the choice of venue. There is now only one question on the minds of all, where are we going next year? You will have to watch this space!
