FPAL Capability Profile and Performance Feedback Workshop

With 44 places booked, this was the first of our FPAL events for this year; this one covered FPAL capability
profile and performance feedback. To start things off Roy Calder from Invensys Systems UK Ltd presented the
15 minute members slot. Following Roy’s presentation Malcolm Wilson (from FPAL) started off by explaining
what FPAL is. He then when on to talk about their relationship with Achilles as this is a question many members
had been asking for a while. Malcolm followed on to talk about other oil and gas schemes which included
Nigerian Joint Qualification System and First Point Kazakhstan. He then went on to give an update on FPAL
News.

He then went on to talk about what performance feedback is and also what the capability profile and
advanced registration process is. Following on from Malcolm’s presentation Jack Davidson, Senior Contracts
Specialist for Subsea 7 spoke about why performance feedback and capability profiles are important to Subsea
7. He also commented on contract opportunities with Subsea 7. After Jack’s presentation Malcolm did a
demonstration on how FPAL purchasers search for suppliers. This also included a question and answer
session. A networking lunch followed the presentations.
