North Delhi Power Limited, NDPL is a JV of M/s TATA Power Company Limited and Govt. of Delhi (GoNCTD). It was instituted on July 1, 2002 as a result of the Power Sector Reforms unleashed by GoNCTD.NDPL distributes Power to approximately 1/3rd of Delhi spread across a geographical area of 510 sq. kms and caters to a registered consumer base of 1 million.

NDPL’s annual energy requirement is around 5600 MUs and its annual turnover is Rs 2050 Crores (CAGR of 18% in 5 years, CAGR of tariff is just 4%). NDPL is credited with a record reduction of 50% AT&C Losses as compared to the opening loss level in just 5 years (53% in Jul 2002 to 24.1% in Mar 2007). Team NDPL comprises 3700 employees and draws experience from some of the best known names in the Indian Power sector fraternity.In just five years from its in inception, NDPL is already recognised as a consumer centric organisation and has set benchmarks in terms of AT&C Loss Reduction and other commercial and network deliverables.
