Exhibit | WindEnergy Hamburg 2026 | EIC

Why Germany?

In 2025, wind energy continues to play a key role in catalysing the energy transition landscape for Europe. It is one of the leading energy sources for the region, with over 524GW under development on our project tracking database EICDataStream - of which around 41GW is expected to be built in Germany. Onshore wind continues to be a stable market in Europe and Germany has seen its strongest first half-year performance since 2017. 409 turbines were commissioned in H1 2025 totalling 2.2GW, increasing by 67% compared to statistics from 2024. Major players such as Vattenfall, RWE Renewables and ABO Wind are playing a key role in capacity additions, whilst also pushing the movement for repowering projects. However, whilst Germany continues to also deliver successful auctions and reduce the speed of approvals, it is still falling behind on legally mandated targets.

Meanwhile, offshore wind in Europe dominates many energy conversations, especially due to the increased need for energy security within the region's borders. Offshore wind's mature markets - Netherlands, Germany, Denmark and Belgium - have focussed on strengthening pipelines with policy and auction reforms and system integration. Germany currently has over 30GW of capacity in its pipeline on EICDataStream. The country has also had a fruitful year so far with its recent auction awarding a 1GW non-predeveloped area to TotalEnergies, with two pre-developed centralised areas totalling 2.5GW also to be tendered this year. However, focus is now to move away from zero-big auctions to support development amidst industry challenges. With all this in mind, it is evident that there are enough opportunities in Germany's wind sector, for supply chain companies to explore.
