Shell, the leading international energy company, and iNNOVATEQ, a leading digital transformation solutions provider, have signed a multi-year agreement to launch a new commercial chapter for Shell’s production universe (PU) software by integrating the current system with iNNOVATEQ’s Nibras platform.
Shell’s PU is a state-of-the-art software with real-time analytics application for the management of wells in oil and gas production operations. PU uses data driven models of wells while leveraging machine learning to provide real-time well rates and production optimisation. PU is currently deployed over a range of Shell operated production assets from deepwater to onshore.
A globally renowned platform in the oil and gas industry, iNNOVATEQ’s Nibras platform is a digital solution for enhanced asset management and production optimisation. Nibras was engineered with LEAN methodologies, introducing a unique exception based management approach that mimics how the human body operates and handles exceptions through its biological nervous system. It was built to help organisations sustain their business values and returns, while in parallel enabling continuous improvement with an exceptional scale-up architecture.
Nibras has been built as an industry-agnostic platform, which has been utilised for over a decade in wells, reservoir and facilities management (WRFM) within the oil and gas industry. It is an agile, customer-focused solution enabling operators to modernise and automate their daily operations while proactively driving decisions using data insights. Nibras is currently being used by 3,000 users in 17 technical and business disciplines to manage over 8,000 wells and more than 11,000 pieces of surface facility equipment.
Nibras delivers significant business value to its clients by reducing HSE risk, saving 40% of engineers and operators’ time, improving operational compliance by over 60% and generating over US$250m in additional annual production.
