Andritz has been selected by Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL) to equip its Tarali pumped storage hydro project in India. According to the agreement, Andritz will be responsible for supplying pump turbines, motor generators and electromechanical equipment.
AGEL plans to build the 1.5GW hydro facility in Satara, Maharashtra. The developer expects the project to contribute to India's efforts to expand its pumped storage capacity.
Andritz' scope of work in Tarali includes the design, manufacture, installation, testing and commissioning of the pumped storage units, as well as its associated auxiliaries. Activities will be conducted by Andritz' manufacturing base in India and supported by its global network.
