TotalEnergies has acquired a 435MW ready-to-build solar and energy storage portfolio from Low Carbon. The initiatives include eight solar power projects and two battery energy storage systems (BESS) in the UK.
Generation capacity for the solar parks is calculated at 350MW in total, while the energy storage elements contribute with 85MW of capacity. All of these projects are currently at an advanced stage of development.
TotalEnergies should start up these facilities by 2028, producing over 350GWh per year and meeting the needs of approximately 100,000 homes in the UK.
