Wood has announced two multi-million pound solar energy deals in the United States.
The Aberdeen-headquartered global engineering firm has agreed two solar engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contracts from an American power and energy company worth almost £160m in an effort to continue to diversify its business.
A 120MW solar facility in Pittsylvania County and 70MW solar facility in Chesapeake, Virginia, with a combined output of 190MW will be delivered by the company.
The projects are expected to be operational in late 2021 and 2022.
