Jan De Nul Group French subsidiary Sodraco International has won a contract for the transport and installation of turbines at the 480MW Saint-Nazaire offshore wind farm in France.
The farm is expected to feature 80 GE 6MW Haliade machines, with installation scheduled to kick off in Spring 2022 and be completed by the end of that year.
The contract awarded by Parc du Banc de Guerande, a joint venture between EDF Renewables and the Canadian energy company Enbridge, is Jan De Nul's first in the offshore wind market in France.
The wind farm will be located in the northern part of the Bay of Biscay about 12km from the coast.
