Fluor, TechnipFMC and JGC win offshore Mozambique contract

A consortium of JGC Corporation, Fluor and TechnipFMC has won an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract for the Rovuma LNG project, offshore Mozambique.
The contract was awarded by Mozambique Rovuma Venture (MRV), a joint venture between Eni, ExxonMobil and China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC).
The Rovuma LNG project will produce, liquefy and market natural gas from three oil reservoirs of the Mamba complex, located in the Area 4 block in the offshore Rovuma basin.
Two natural gas liquefaction trains with a total LNG capacity of 15.2 million tonnes per annum, as well as associated onshore facilities, will be constructed.
