DEME and CSBC reach FID on Taiwanese Green Jade vessel

DEME Wind Engineering and CSBC joint venture CDWE have reached a final investment decision placing an order for the vessel Green Jade.
Green Jade, which will install offshore wind farms in Taiwanese waters is the first floating heavy-lift and installation vessel to be built in Taiwan and will consist of a combination of high transport and load capacity, impressive lifting heights and green technology.
The vessel has been designed to transport the heaviest monopiles, jackets, wind turbine components and structures in a single shipment and will have a 4000-tonne crane capacity and DP3 capability.
It is set to be delivered in 2022 and will be constructed at CSBC’s shipyard in Kaohsiung.
