On behalf of client ABP, APG has secured a 49% stake in the Gemini solar and storage project in Nevada, United States. The share was previously owned by Quinbrook Infrastructure Partners.
Gemini will feature capacities of 690MWac for solar and 1,316MWh at its adjacent battery energy storage systems (BESS) facility.
The developer of this initiative is Primergy Solar. The company expects to complete Gemini, which is located 40km away from Las Vegas in the Mojave Desert, in 2023.
The future plant already has a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA) in place with NV Energy.
