Greenalia has opened a request for information (RFI) regarding its floating offshore wind projects in the Canary Islands. The company is receiving information from the global supply chain on services and solutions suitable for Greenalia’s floating wind developments in Spain.
The RFI will serve as a prequalification phase for companies willing to participate in the request for quotation and proposal (RFQ/RFP), which will later result in firmed contracts.
The main project destination of these agreements is likely to be Gofio, a 50MW floating wind plant to be built in San Bartolomé de Tirajana that could be Spain’s first operational offshore wind farm.
Greenalia has recently concluded Gofio’s geophysical studies, which will be part of the project’s environmental evaluation process. Data from the studies will also be provided to companies participating in the RFI process.
