TotalEnergies and Hanwha Energy sign 15-year LNG supply agreement

According to a purchase agreement firmed between the two companies, South Korea’s Hanwha Energy will receive LNG supply for its Tongyeong regasification terminal from TotalEnergies.

Starting in 2024, 600,000 metric tonnes of LNG per year will be provided by TotalEnergies over the course of 15 years.

After being received at the terminal, the LNG will be used by Hanwha at the 1GW Tongyeong gas-fired power plant, which is currently in construction.

Commercial operations are expected in the first quarter of 2021.
