The Swedish government has granted a construction permit for Vattenfall’s Swedish Kriegers Flak offshore wind project. The future 640MW plant will be placed in the Baltic Sea, 30km off Trelleborg.
Vattenfall’s request for the licence predicted the installation of 40 to 50 wind turbines, whose maximum heights should reach 280 metres.
Swedish Kriegers Flak is expected to be operational in 2028, after a final investment decision (FID) takes place in 2025.
