Developer Cheniere Energy has secured an integrated production marketing (IPM) gas supply agreement with ARC U.S., part of ARC Resources. The agreement is related to the third development phase of Cheniere’s Corpus Christi project in Texas, United States.
The IPM determines that ARC sells 140,000 MMBtu of natural gas daily to Cheniere for 15 years. The term will start as stage III of Corpus Christi enters production.
The LNG linked to this supply, calculated to be 0.85 million tonnes per annum (MTPA), will later be sold by Cheniere. The price of payments to ARC will be LNG-related and calculated following the Platts Japan Korea Marker (JKM).
The third phase of Corpus Christi plans to install seven midscale LNG liquefaction trains and one LNG storage tank. The expansion would have a total aggregate expected nominal production capacity of approximately 10MTPA.
