Construction for EDF Renewables’ solar power plant in Lincolnshire, Sutton Bridge, has begun. Early works are currently ongoing, but full operations are already expected for later in the year.
Once completed, Sutton Bridge will be a 50MW plant in the South Holland district. After public consultations held with the District Council, planning permission was secured by EDF in March 2021.
The developer has also designed a biodiversity management plan for the project, which will cover planting hedgerows native to the locality.
Anesco is the project’s EPC contractor, being also responsible for Sutton Bridge’s further operation and maintenance services.
Besides Sutton Bridge, EDF has another 3GW in solar initiatives under different development stages.
