MTE has announced the acquisition of its new office and fabrication riverside facility based at Haverton Hill, Teesside.
The new facility will support MTE’s ambitious growth plans providing the capacity to deliver considerably larger fabrications to the growing market for the offshore wind and other green energy industries.
MTE’s new site includes 4,500 sq m of indoor fabrication space, and 7 acres of external assembly, laydown and riverside frontage. The onsite modern office space will also accommodate MTE’s delivery teams, allowing the company to successfully deliver projects within a single site.
Kevin Judson, Joint MD said: “We are delighted to have completed the acquisition of our new riverside facility which is a substantial expansion to our existing facilities both in Darlington and in Busan, South Korea.
By consolidating design, engineering, project management and production activities onto a single site, we will improve our project controls and increase our capacity to deliver projects to our key clients. The site is also extremely well positioned with supporting supply chain businesses in close proximity which further enhances our capabilities.”
The acquisition will allow MTE to focus on projects the company has previously not been able to manufacture solely from its Darlington fabrication facility and will facilitate continued company success and growth.
