Siemens Gamesa has confirmed that it will provide turbines to Vattenfall for the 344MW Vesterhav offshore wind projects in Denmark. In total, the manufacturer will supply 41 SG 8.4-167 DD machines for the projects.
The 176MW Vesterhav Nord project will have 21 turbines, while the 168MW Vesterhav Syd project will include 20 turbines.
A three-year service agreement, with both projects being served from the Port of Hvide Sande, is also included in the transaction.
Together, they aim to provide power to approximately 350,000 average Danish houses.
Located up to 10km off the west coast of Denmark, the two projects are expected to be finished in 2023.
