Re-Gen Robotics wins big at the 2021 EIC Awards

02 Dec 2021

The robotic tank cleaning company picked up the Innovation, Sustainability and EIC Company of the Year awards, while Halliburton’s Harley Ogg was chosen as the Rising Star

The Energy Industries Council (EIC) has announced the winners of the 2021 EIC Awards, with 16 EIC member companies winning awards during the virtual ceremony, and one lucky Rising Star winning a scholarship worth £18,500 at the Robert Gordon University (RGU).

The annual EIC Awards celebrate the best of the world’s energy supply chain, rewarding business leaders for their determination and resilience in challenging markets, none more so that this year, dominated by COVID-19 and growing pressure to decarbonise.

This year’s finalists, all taken from the 2021 EIC Survive and Thrive Insight Report, applied 14 different growth strategies, with the most popular being diversification, including into exciting new energy transition technologies.

Re-Gen Robotics scooped up the biggest prize of the night, winning the EIC Company of the Year, with their submission focusing on their one-stop robotic tank cleaning solution, a system which is rapidly winning over clients.

Harley Ogg, Product Service Line Coordinator at Halliburton, won the EIC / RGU Rising Star MBA Award, narrowly beating some of the best and brightest in the energy sector to win a full scholarship on an MBA programme of her choice at RGU.

EIC CEO Stuart Broadley said: “We received a record number of nominations for this year’s EIC Awards, and the quality of applications was truly astonishing, making the task of our expert judges, representing industries from across the world’s energy value chain, harder than ever before. All the finalists, both companies and rising stars, that came so close to winning, should be incredibly proud of their achievements in a market like no other, and the winners can be particularly proud of their accolades in a year when celebration has seemed hard to justify. .

“No longer have these celebrations calmed down though, and sore heads begin to clear, and I will open up applications for the 2022 EIC Awards and Survive & Thrive interviews. It is such a personal privilege for me to meet some of the world best leaders and innovators across all energy sectors, and learn about their own inspiring success stories, that I can’t wait to get started with the sixth edition of our annual research in January.”
