SeaMade consortium inaugurates offshore wind project in Belgium

SeaMade NV, a joint venture between Otary, Ocean Winds, and Eneco, has officially launched the 487MW SeaMade offshore wind farm project in the North Sea of ​​Belgium.

The wind farm is said to be Belgium's largest offshore wind farm, and it is also the second wind farm built by the consortium in the country.

The project, which is operated by Otary, has 58 Siemens Gamesa SG 8.0-167 DD 8MW direct-drive offshore wind turbines and generates 1.8TWh of renewable energy per year.

The SeaMade offshore wind project was formed by combining two previous wind farms, the 235MW Mermaid and the 252MW Seastar.
