Conventional eddy current testing (ECT) covers a narrow strip per pass and every result depends on reading an impedance plane signal correctly. Eddy current array (ECA) widens the strip and turns the result into a C-scan image, so defects appear as recognisable patterns rather than traces to interpret.
Evident Inspection Technologies is offering an interactive live webinar featuring the new NORTEC™ 700 eddy current array flaw detector which puts both ECT and ECA techniques on one seamless platform. Attendees can explore how the latest advancements in ECA technology can help improve inspection efficiency, coverage and defect detection capabilities.
During this live demonstration on Wednesday 7 October 2026, 4-5pm CEST, Evident’s application expert will showcase key inspection techniques and real-world probe applications, highlighting how ECA technology enables faster inspections and intuitive data visualisation across a wide range of industrial applications.
The webinar will conclude with a live Q&A session, giving the opportunity to discuss specific inspection challenges directly with Evident’s expert, Michaël Barbeyrol, who brings more than 30 years as a mechanical engineer and NDT inspector in aerospace manufacturing and maintenance.
Whether attendees are new to eddy current array testing or looking to enhance current inspection processes, this session will provide valuable practical insights and best practices.
