Kinetik Holdings has reached a positive final investment decision (FID) for the Kings Landing II (KLII) natural gas processing facility expansion in New Mexico, US. Representing an investment of approximately US$260m, the new plant will process 300MMcf/d of gas, reflecting a 50% increase from the initially planned capacity.
Scheduled for completion in the second half of 2028, the development is driven by robust production growth across the Northern Delaware Basin. Once operational, KLII will boost Kinetik’s overall processing capacity to over 2.7bcf/d. The strategic design of the facility also preserves the optionality to incorporate a third 200MMcf/d plant at the complex in the future.
The expansion highlights sustained commercial momentum as operators accelerate development plans across the Permian midstream sector.
