Envision Energy has signed a letter of award with Aktas Energy for a wind power project in Kazakhstan. According to the agreement, Envision will be responsible for supplying 124 wind turbines for the Mirny wind farm.
Turbine delivery is expected to begin in 2026, with construction following in the same year.
Aktas Energy, a consortium between Total Eren (EREN Groupe and TotalEnergies), Samruk-Energo and KazMunayGas (KMG), is currently developing the 1GW facility. It expects Mirny to be able to produce approximately 4TWh of electricity per year.
Mirny is also planned to feature an adjacent 300MW/600MWh battery energy storage system (BESS).
