Solar Steel has been contracted to supply solar trackers and fixed-tilt structures for two solar power projects in Italy. Combined, the two solar parks, to be built in the country's southwestern islands, will have a capacity of 97MW.
The work will involve 2,800 1P solar trackers and over 250 fixed-tilt structures, which were specifically designed to adapt to the steep and varied terrain of the Italian landscape. Delivery should begin before the end of the year, with the facilities reaching first power in 2026.
Even though the project's haven't been revealed, the award follows contract wins in Greece, Portugal and France. Solar Steel has a total tracker footprint of over 16GW worldwide.
