EDF has secured renewable energy supply from Brockwell Energy after signing a power purchase agreement (PPA) related to the North Kyle onshore wind farm. With construction works ongoing in East Ayrshire, Scotland, the farm is designed to have capacity of 220.5MW.
According to the terms of the agreement, EDF will receive 100% of the North Kyle's output as soon as the facility is up and running, which is expected by the first quarter of 2025.
Brockwell Energy calculates that North Kyle will be able to produce 630GWh of clean energy per year, enough to power 217,000 homes in Scotland.
