ConocoPhillips has firmed sales and purchase agreements (SPAs) for the offtaking of about 2.2 million tonnes per year (mtpa) of liquefied natural gas (LNG) from Mexico Pacific's Saguaro Energía export facility in Puerto Libertad. The SPA is related to the project's trains 1, 2 and 3, but is also open to future expansions.
The agreement establishes that ConocoPhillips will receive LNG over the course of 20 years.
Once the Saguaro Energía facility is fully commissioned, its three trains will have a combined capacity of 15mtpa.
