Oman Power and Water Procurement (OPWP) has awarded Jinko Power and Sembcorp Utilities a contract for the development of a 500MW photovoltaic (PV) project in Manah, Oman. The companies participated in the bidding process launched for the project in September 2022.
The Manah II PV plant is scheduled to start operations in 2025, after which it will serve OPWP through a 20-year power purchase agreement (PPA).
Sembcorp Utilities will own 80% of Manah II, while Jinko Power will hold the remaining 20% stake.
