NRStor has firmed an energy storage facility agreement (ESFA) with the Independent Electricity System Operator (IESA) for its 250MW/1,000MWh Oneida energy storage project in southern Ontario, Canada.
Oneida will be a lithium-ion battery energy storage system (BESS) and one of the world’s largest clean energy projects.
Besides NRStor, the initiative is also developed by Six Nations of the Grand River Development Corporation (SNGRDC), Northland Power, and Aecon Group.
With the signed ESFA, the plant is now able to execute a battery supply agreement with Tesla and an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract with Aecon Group.
