The 288MW Mark One gas-fired power plant in Texas, United States, has achieved start-up. Commercial operations at the project’s site in Brazoria County have been announced by developer WattBridge Energy.
Construction had been ongoing since September 2021, with financial close coming soon after, in December 2021. ProEnergy, the EPC contractor, installed six LM6000 gas-turbine packages in the facility.
Mark One will increase WattBridge peak-power capabilities in the Greater Houston area and support the city’s grid during critical times.
