According to a recent announcement by the company, Westbridge Renewable Energy Corporation has added the Red Willow project in Alberta, Canada, to its portfolio. Red Willow is composed by a 295MW solar plant and a 100MW/200MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) facility.
Westbridge Renewable stated that the project is currently at stage 2 of the Alberta Electric System Operator (AESO) interconnection process. Red Willow’s environmental studies have already been developed and submitted to the respective authorities.
The company has also disclosed that the project’s site is already under its control thanks to long-term solar lease with private landowners.
