Aker BP has selected TechnipFMC for an integrated engineering, procurement, construction, and installation (EPCI) contract for three fields in the Norwegian section of the North Sea. The contract covers subsea production systems, controls, pipelines, and umbilicals.
The contract’s estimated value ranges from US$500m to US$1bn.
According to the EPCI agreement, the contractor will tie back fields Symra, Troldhaugen and the second development phase of Solveig (Utsira High cluster) to the Edvard Gried and Ivar Aasen production platforms.
The contract, Aker BP’s first iEPCI, follows a two-year integrated front-end engineering and design (iFEED) study also by TechnipFMC to optimise field layout.
