Empyrean Energy has announced the approval of an updated Plan of Development (PoD) for the Mako Gas Project offshore Indonesia.
The new PoD, which extends the previous one approved in 2018, has been approved by Indonesia's Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.
The Mako gas project is proposed to be developed inside the Duyung PSC, in Indonesia’s West Natuna basin.
Following a drilling campaign finished in 2019, the updated Plan of Development indicates an increase in the contingent resources at the project.
With this approval, the field is projected to start producing and transporting gas to Singapore in 2025.
