A final investment decision (FID) on the Stubbo solar power project in Australia has been taken by developer ACEN. In September 2022, the company announced an investment of US$517.3m for the construction of the facility.
ACEAN has already signed a connection agreement for the plant with connection services company Lumea. The supply of Stubbo’s photovoltaic (PV) panels has also been awarded to an undisclosed contractor.
The Stubbo plant will be built in New South Wales as part of the Central-West Orana renewable energy zone. Its output is expected to energise more than 185,000 Australian homes.
Civil works should begin later this year.
