Texas LNG Brownsville has nominated Technip Energies USA and Samsung Engineering as the lead contractors of the Texas LNG project. The liquefaction and export plant will be located at the Port of Brownsville, in South Texas.
The consortium’s activities will be related to Texas LNG’s engineering, construction coordination, start-up and commissioning.
Texas LNG will have production capacity of four million tonnes per annum (MTA) of liquefied natural gas (LNG). With a final investment decision (FID) to take place this year still, start-up is scheduled for 2026.
