Marine robotics specialist Sonardyne has expanded its SPRINT-Nav technology into a comprehensive family of underwater navigation systems. Built on a single shared architecture, the scalable portfolio now accommodates all classes of subsea vehicles, from compact towfish to extra-large unmanned underwater vehicles.
For over a decade, the pre-calibrated instrument has combined key sensors to reduce build complexity and lower integration risk. The expanded range ensures that smaller platforms gain access to high-performance navigation, while larger vessels can execute longer autonomous missions unaided.
Operating on a unified embedded software suite equipped with a shared web interface, the systems allow operators to seamlessly switch between navigation solutions as mission requirements evolve. Furthermore, the latest iterations integrate with Sonardyne’s Fusion 2 software to support complex offshore survey operations and acoustic calibration.
