KOIL Energy Solutions has secured a major project award to provide subsea umbilical handling, spooling and long-term storage services. The offshore project, scheduled to commence during the second half of 2026, will utilise two large-scale carousels.
To execute the contract, the US-based company will deploy a newly acquired 3,500t modular mobile offshore carousel alongside an underutilised asset reactivated from its existing fleet. This new modular infrastructure is designed for rapid assembly directly on vessel decks, enabling swift mobilisation and deployment to domestic and international project sites at short notice.
Funding for the asset acquisition was sourced from a revolving credit facility finalised last month, directly supporting the firm's corporate strategy to scale its global rental equipment and services platform. Following the operational phase, the company will handle the long-term storage of the customer's umbilical system.
