Government-owned electricity retailer Aurora Energy has partnered with Hitachi Solutions Asia Pacific to transition its legacy infrastructure onto a cloud-based enterprise resource planning (ERP) platform. The single-phase modernisation program will implement Microsoft Dynamics 365 modules covering finance, supply chain management and project operations.
Operating within a highly regulated market, the utility is replacing outdated systems to lower operational risk, strengthen compliance and facilitate data-driven decision-making. The unified cloud architecture integrates project accounting, core financial processes, contract lifecycles and employee expenses to optimise core business visibility.
The project will support approximately 200 users and incorporates custom AI agents to automate workflows and enhance operational insights. This digital strategy establishes a flexible foundation to efficiently support the essential services provider’s residential, commercial and industrial customer base.
