Capitalising on the country's massive renewable energy push, Founder Group Limited has landed a US$5m (RM19.5m) EPC contract to deliver a 5.5MW utility-scale solar facility. Awarded under Malaysia's landmark Large Scale Solar 5 (LSS5) PETRA initiative, this fast-tracked development is scheduled to achieve commercial operations by May 2027.
The comprehensive agreement tasks Founder Group with the full design, construction, testing, and commissioning of the site. With the broader LSS5 programme unlocking a massive 2,000MW generation quota, Southeast Asia's solar sector is triggering an immediate wave of localised supply chain demand for PV modules, commercial inverters, and grid connection services.
