Saipem has been awarded a new offshore Contract Release Purchase Order (CRPO) by Saudi Aramco to deliver infrastructure for the Safaniya oil field, one of the world’s largest offshore developments. Under their existing Long-Term Agreement, Saipem's scope of work covers the Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Installation (EPCI) of a massive 48-inch trunkline spanning 65 kilometers offshore and 12 kilometers onshore, alongside associated subsea facilities.
Offshore installation will be carried out by Saipem’s construction vessels currently deployed in the Middle East. To maximize local content and supply chain efficiency, all fabrication activities will be executed at the Saipem Taqa Al-Rushaid Fabricators yard in Dammam. This award highlights Saipem's continued dominance in Saudi Arabia's offshore sector, following closely on the heels of two late-2025 contracts worth approximately $600 million for Aramco's Berri, Abu Safah, and Marjan fields.
