Exmar has been selected by Cedar LNG Partners to provide marine operations and maintenance services for the Megúgu Floating LNG (FLNG) unit. The contract involves immediate engagement during the current construction phase at Samsung Heavy Industries, as well as the development of operational procedures for the facility in Kitimat, British Columbia.
This award positions Exmar as a key strategic partner for the world’s first indigenous majority-owned LNG facility (majority-owned by the Haisla Nation in partnership with Pembina Pipeline Corporation). The Megúgu unit is designed to be one of the lowest carbon intensity LNG facilities globally, powered by renewable electricity.
