The Philippine government has granted the Certificate of Energy of National Significance (CEPNS) to three floating offshore wind projects. Under development by BuhaWind Energy Philippines, these initiatives will have a combined generation capacity of 4GW.
BuhaWind Energy Philippines is a partnership between Copenhagen Energy and PetroGreen Energy Corporation. It is responsible for the planned Northern Luzon (2GW), Northern Mindoro (1GW) and East Panay (1GW) floating offshore wind farms.
The CEPNS not only shows that these projects support the Philippines' net zero and energy security strategy but will also allow them a faster permitting process.
